A time based ritual centered on scent, I created a desert perfume out of local and regional plants to the area I called home for six years. The purpose for this fragrance was to capture the essence of the aromatic plants of a place that brought me comfort, support and a sense of belonging. La Cuenca de Morongo is made up of eight plants that are local to the Morongo Basin of the Mojave Desert and regional to Southern California ecosystems.

In this desert fragrance you will find base notes of Pinyon Pine, Juniper and Encelia resin, middle notes of White Sage, California Mugwort and Sagebrush with top notes of Creosote and Desert Lavender. These fragrances are preserved in perfumer’s alcohol, in a 15ml glass bottle with a dropper.

To use, shake the bottle and dab a drop of the fragrance on your wrist, neck or anywhere that feels good to your body. Store upright away from sunlight and heat.
