Join us for our solstice edition of Bicis y Botánica! A botanical bike ride through the bosque in Albuquerque, NM.

On Saturday, June 21st we will be celebrating the summer solstice through a three hour bike ride in the company of fellow community members and our shared love of bikes & plants!

From Tingley Beach, we will make our way north through the bosque, observing flowering plants and sharing stories about our relationships with them. There will be an introduction to botanical foundations and terminology, while also honoring the strength and deep ties of cultural knowledge.

Participants should expect to bike up to 8 miles total, on mostly flat and paved, gravel and dirt trails. There will be an opportunity for a bathroom and snack break at the Rio Grande Nature Center. There is room for 8 people on bicis! Mountain bikes are preferred!

This program will run for three hours: participants meet at 8:45am, ride at 9am and finish at 12pm.
