Cuentos Nocturnos - April 1st

  • five volcano trailhead Albuquerque United States (map)

One year later and I am happy to share that we will be offering another full moon hike and storytelling program in Albuquerque!

Join us for a moderate 3 mile hike around the volcanos of the Petroglyph National Monument where we will begin our time an hour before sunset so that our eyes can adjust to the shift in light. The trail is mostly flat and compact with some minor climbing on basalt so sturdy shoes are encouraged!

Participants will be guided along the three volcanic siblings, hearing stories of the night sky and its nocturnal inhabitants. This is a great opportunity for those that have a hard time spending time on the land at night as we will be facilitating exercises on nervous system co-regulation with the support of the landscape. There will an opportunity to share songs and enjoy hot herbal tea as the moon rises up over the Sandia Mountains to greet us. Space is limited and all are welcome! Please email us if you have any questions, Spanish translation is available.
