Stories of Resilience - Plant Walk & Writing Workshop

  • Albuquerque United States (map)

As we continue through the heart of winter, may we look towards the rhythms of the land for strength and guidance. What can cacti, agaves and yuccas teach us about resilience? The Sandia Foothills present a wonderful opportunity to walk gently across the landscape, listening deeply to all the sounds that shape the stories of these plant communities.

Song Dog Relations will be facilitating a three hour plant walk and writing workshop in the Sandia Foothills on February 8th. Participants will learn about the cycles of these dear plant friends, explore adaptations and write their own stories of resilience with the support of the greater landscape as a compass.

Participants should expect to walk up to 3 miles total, carrying a backpack that will store their water, snacks, lunch and any writing materials they wish to bring. Dressing in layers is highly encouraged due to shift in weather conditions. Song Dog will be providing hot tea and cocoa! Register today through this link ☀️
